Outstanding Photos! I haven't been back to the islands since '87. I'd really like to go back and visit...maybe in '05. Hey, are we related? My dad's name is Mariano Manalang and his father's name was Angel Manalang. Our family is from San Miguel, Tarlac. Like I said, really cool photos and thanks for sharing them.

I enjoyed your pictures of the Philippines. I too have documented two of the three trips we have made to the PI. The family enjoyed following our trip as we were on it. I thought you might enjoy the picts. The pictures from the 2000 trip were captured off a Video camera. The 2004 trip was with my Digital camera and the videos are from the video camera. Sorry the Web site isn't as slick as yours as I am but an amature. Let me know what you think.

Excellent work.
No wonder, a fellow Lordesian. I went to Lourdes School as well but in QC. I now live in So. Cal. for quite some time now. Your pictures are great. My parents are from Guagua and they really enjoyed the pics from their province. However, they felt really bad on the devastation Lahar brought to Bacolor. When I was younger, I remembered visiting the same tomb where the statue of Jesus lay. Creepy, I must say. After viewing your pictures I had convinced my wife, my brothers, my friends, and my parents to take a trip to the P.I. this Christmas.
More power to you.

I'm gonna chime in: I loved the pics too. I was Googling for pictures of Fort Santiago when I came across your picture of Cindy at the gates; that was a great shot. Hope you guys can come back.

Hello,

Great pictures!

Picture 31 shows Mt. Pinatubo, near Angeles City (home of former Clark AFB). You're incorrect when you say Clark and Subic Freeport are the same place. Clark was the air base. Subic was the naval port.

Thanks again,

Dan

Did you just create a second blog for the photo album? I read your entry on qdig, but it doesn't seem like you're using that for the photo album. True?

Rich,
I want to thank you for showing us pictures of your trip. The last time I was there, the places we had I chance to visit was Boracay and Tagaytay. I hope that the filipinos here in abroad will appreciate the beauty that we have to offer. I also found out that you graduated in Lourdes School in Manadaluyong. I have a friend that I have been trying to get hold off. His name is Joey Montilla. He graduated in 1975. A friend of mine suggested that I call the alumnae office. But I don't have their number. Could you help me please.

I left the Philippines 27 years ago and just took my wife there for 2 weeks. She really enjoyed it which made the whole trip that much more enjoyable for me! Your pictures are great (much better than mine)!

Greetings! I found your site via google and thank God that I did! (I was searching for Philippine street photographs.) Your pictures are incredible! I love the pictures of old spanish style arhitecture.

Btw, I was also in Philippines during that time. Nothing beats spending Xmas in Pinas. ;)Unfortunately, it was only for 2 weeks. I spent most of the time in Cavite and Manila. Regards.
