XSLTs for RSS and Atom Feeds
Just in case anyone out there is ever looking for examples of an XSLT to transform an RSS or Atom feed to HTML, here they are. I’ve had a difficult time finding simple examples on the web in the past. These are pretty straight forward examples that can be extended for your use.
* RSS 0.91-0.93 XSLT
* RSS 1.0 XSLT
* RSS 2.0 XSLT
* Atom 0.3 XSLT
Enjoy!

Basic XSLT Sheets for RSS / Atom
Manalang.com has some basic XSLT sheets available to transform RSS and Atom. It looks like the sheets cover all versions of RSS / Atom, and they are basic enough to use as a starting point for more ambitious XSLT adventures….

Finally! A way to process Atom into HTML. Almost all of the XSLT for Atom, I have found, have been for how to convert Atom into RSS. Sure Atom may be in trouble as a format, but it seems weird that RSS had to be the intermediary between source and output.
One thing weird though: when I tried to process an Atom XML from Blogger, I got errors because of “atom:” part of XSLT.

Ok, I like the idae. But what do I do with the XML page to make a RSS to HTML?

Here is a blog post that applies the xsl in javascript and inserts the resulting HTML fragment into an existing web page.

Ok, while not an idiot, I’m new to RSS. That being said, how do you use the RSS 2.0 XSLT template? I have a feed that lists the articles on my site but I want them to show up as posts. What changes do you make to the template and where is it published? Do I place a tag in a post? I’m sure it’s simple because everywhere I go it’s assumed you know how! Thanks, Kim
